How should I prepare for my sugaring / waxing appointment:
- Gently exfoliate the area the day before your appointment
- Take Ibuprofen
- Wear loose, comfy clothes
- Do not wear lotion, oils, or deodorant on the day of your appointment
- Make sure hair is the appropriate length (1/4 inch long); typically two weeks of growth
Is it okay if I am taking any medications?
Any person going through cancer treatment, chemotherapy, or radiation treatments should avoid sugaring or waxing.
Read the label or consult a dermatologist about sugaring / waxing if you are on any of these medications:
- Adapalene
- Alustra
- Avage
- Avita
- Differin
- Isotretinoin
- Renova
- Retin A

- Accutane (must be off for six months minimum)
- Any other medications that may cause sensitivity
Can I get sugared / waxed while on my period or pregnant?
Yes, to both! You might be a little more sensitive than you normally would but it’s perfectly safe.
